These phone shops or credit companies will mention “kadar bunga hanya 1.25% sebulan” so it looks low for the uninitiated la. Thats 15% per annum.
Meaning you are paying 45% interest on the rm10500 loan over the 3 years.
If you factor in the 2k markup, you are paying 26.39% a year or 79.17% over 3 years on the rm8500 iphone.
Some people kata dia bengang bila I cakap perli2 macam ni, tersentap bagai. But these are the same people that keep making silly financial decisions.
And I bukan perli la, I am outright calling you financially dumb if you buy these phones using loan kedai.
If you cant get a CC to buy the phone with 0% interest EPP that means you either have bad credit or your income is below rm2k.
Which is why you opted for this loan kedai kan? Its the only way you can “look at me look at me, i have an iPhone, i can fit in with your circle now”.
My question is if your income is below 2k why the HELL do you bother with a rm8500 phone?
